In 2016 I was awarded a NASA contract to create “Myriad.” It combines elements of machine learning, image processing, and distributed processing to automatically finding Regions Of Interest (ROI) in 2D data (images). NASA’s interest was in developing a framework for helping to process the terabytes of data that result from structural inspections of aircraft, but it could also be used in other forms of object detection.
